Safe Spaces Policy
Panther Swing welcomes people of all dance levels, ages, races, genders, sexual orientations, physical appearances, disability statuses, and religions. By attending our events, you agree to be part of a safe, inclusive community. In addition to following the etiquette outlined on the About page, you also agree to:
When possible, Safe Space contacts (listed below) will work to correct behavior before punitive steps are taken. However, failure to comply with this policy may result in suspension from Panther Swing events or expulsion from events without refund.
Attendees are encouraged to actively cultivate a safe space at Panther Swing. Suggestions are welcome and can be submitted on the Contact form. If you ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe addressing a situation, talk to a Safe Space contact (listed below). We will preserve your anonymity, and no actions will be taken without your knowledge and consent.

If you plan on attending any Tartan Swing or joint Tartan and Panther Swing events, be sure to review Tartan Swing's Code of Conduct as well.
- Tell your partner if something hurts or doesn't feel good
- Certain elements of the dance, such as close embrace or dips, require further verbal consent. Ask your partner if they are comfortable with these elements before initiating them.
- Respect every dancer's right to say "no" to any activity
- Take care of yourself and recognize your own right to say "no"
- Actively listen and comply if you are asked to stop any behavior
- Harassment is not welcome at Panther Swing events. This includes offensive comments, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome attention, and nonconsensual recording
